Migrant family separation is wrong

Published June 18th, 2018 by Bobby Henderson

The Trump administration’s policy of separating migrant children from their parents is wrong and immoral.

Migrants arriving to the US with nothing, looking for a better life, deserve our respect and empathy. Families applying for asylum should not be treated as criminals. Of course.

It is good that some religious groups have been speaking out about this. I was impressed that the Methodists called it wrong. I agree that Jesus would be appalled.

But shame on you, the 75% of white evangelicals who continue to support this regime. You’ve shown who you are – please do not try to claim the moral high-ground again.

  1. Mr. Hankey says:

Few people object to a country’s right to a tight border and controlled immigration. However, in the rest of the World, it’s an International crime to publicly advocate child abuse, let alone as a coercive strategy.

Many countries have vast populations displaced by the resource-raping, gun-toting, religious bigotry introduced by American foreign policy.

I assume you would have no problem, if ever visiting a foreign country, accepting their laws requiring your at-risk children being immediately taken into care…?

  2. stokeyeric says:

Don’t separate families; gas them all at once.

That was effed and funny all at once.

  3. Mr. Hankey says:

I’m surprised you’re able to type, let alone find food. Best to just stay in your bunker and never get a passport.

The sweet sweet nectar of Mexican children’s tears is nourishment enough.

Ahhh… a psychopath, my favourite cripples.

You guys STILL yakking away? :)

    • Keith says:

Oh, sorry! Yakking you said? I misread it and wondered how you had been able to look into my lounge room.

  6. Leo says:

Please, let me remind you that this policy was introduced by president Obama and Hillary Clinton not by Trump. Already in 2015 they both defended the practice as you can se on video in Zero Hedge.

    • Captain Birdseye says:

It’s irrelevant who introduced the policy.
Thousands of USA missionaries sneak across borders to secretly proselytise, despite proselytising being a criminal offence in more than 100 countries and a capital offence in a few. No doubt you agree.

    • Remember the Alamo says:

One has to watch out for illegal immigrants: they migrate with their families, fence off farms and breed as fast as they can; before you know it, they’re declaring the whole land theirs. Isn’t that how Mexico lost Texas?

      • Russputin says:

Good point , it reminds me of the Aboriginal Australian who landed a small boat on a beach in Dover during the Queen’s Jubilee ( 1977 ?) then planted a flag in the sand and declared the UK mainland as being discovered and now the property of his tribe
I vaguely recall 1977 might have been around tbe 200th anniversary of Cook’s voyage to the antipodes (give or take a few years)

        • Captain Birdseye says:

Russputin, that was Billum Billum, whom the Queen then invited to tea. There is an amusing short movie where a tribe beach their canoes and claim the land of ‘Barbecuearea’ as theirs. Mandatory for anthropology students.
Although the US government has now stopped further child separations, it has not released children it was already holding.

  7. Blake says:

Yeah, no. Enforce laws. If illegals break the law, they pay the price. They breed to try to get recognized as citizens. Kill them & the kids, or deport them all. Scumbags.

    • Captain Birdseye says:

Yeah, Blake, return all illegal immigrant scumbags. Damn Vikings, Romans, Normans and Puritans. The problem is, there are simply too many Americans and Europe doesn’t want them back.

  8. Great Uncle Merlin says:

Romans 13, used by Sessions to ‘justify’ the administration’s cruelty to defenseless refugees, doesn’t say anything about illegal (or legal) immigrants. In fact, it convicts the White House gang:
    Romans 13:
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. 11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

By the way, Tweety bird is tweeting about again separating refugee parents from their children. And his gang has been stripping citizenship from Hispanics born in southern Texas.
