Solstice Coil thanks the FSM on album art

Published July 11th, 2011 by Bobby Henderson

In my band Solstice Coil, we are all major fans of the FSM and his godly work. So much that we decided to thank him on the credits of our second album, Natural Causes.

We posted this on Facebook:

"While many artists (usually rappers or country singers) tend to thank God or Jesus or some other fictional deity on their album credits, we pay respects to the one true creator of all things…"

Now that’s just awesome. Even better is the fact that the album name is “Natural Causes”.

Never heard of this group but I think I’ll have to search them out and give a listen.

Yep, sure is…and these blokes are doing well too!

Now here is an example of how music can also spread the correct subliminal message. Perhaps Solstice Coil can manage to do a track that reads ‘Pesto Be With You’ or the like when played backwards. Looking at the photo, I have a sneaking suspicion there is some more good art on this record too. I will be trawling the good record stores in Briso for this the next time I’m there, see if I can get my hands on this.

May Sauce Be With Solstice Coil! It is great to see His Noodlyness recognised on an album sleeve, cheers! I wish you every success for the future, leading one day to nailing that big record deal, and with a bit of luck I may see Solstice Coil on stage at a future Big Day Out festival.
