it is kind of sad

Published May 2nd, 2008 by Bobby Henderson

It is kind of sad that you think you merit so much attention. L. Ron Hubbard at least had the good sense to make his religion a secretive pyramid scheme; you don’t exactly measure up. So you’ve become reduced to begging the internet anonymous for help. Hey, maybe a personal finance blog or two will get you started: you know, cut down on your daily double mocha triple frosted frappachino, put that money in a high interest cd. But you would have to actually work for the money then. umm, yeah fuck off

    L. Ron Hubbard made it a hidden religion?
I would rather believe in a bag of shit than in Scientology.

If L. Ron Hubbard’s pyramid scheme is secretive, how did you find out about it? And how do I get in on it? RAmen

It’s even sadder when people who think we don’t deserve any attention give us attention…
My favorite part of the bibles (there are 16 different English versions in print) is the part about not judging lest ye be judged. Do they no longer cover that part in Sunday schools anymore? Christians seem to be the most judgmental of all. We never get hate mail from the Buddhists.

Since you’re the one who came to us, shouldn’t you be the one to “fuck off?”

I find nothing in your letter to contradict my contention that the fools who leave hate mail on this website are uneducated. Whether this is by design or accident remains to be seen. More study is needed. Would you be so kind as to leave additional hate mail for me to analyze? Thank you so very much.

I think it is kind of sad that absolute parasites…like P Hilton, and P Daddy to name two, are allowed to monopolize people’s frontal lobes and merit ‘so much attantion’- while good noodle-loving swashbucklers are hounded and harassed. But hey – at least YOU managed to merit 4 responses (and counting)…

One difference is we aren’t a cult. Oh, Bobby doesn’t beg. Begging is actually asking for money, we give money voluntarily or buy merchandise; there is no requirement of it from FSM. Not a one of us has to give a dime, but most of us appreciate the message and the need for it and do so anyway. Sometimes it’s about the money (like most other religions, some are mandatory and others guilt or shame you into it) and sometimes it’s about the message (so those who do contribute do so to keep the message going, but not one is it expected or required). So if you think this is about the money, you’re dead wrong, and pretty stupid. I am expecting that if you think it’s about the money you didn’t read the whole web site. I also suspect you don’t know what the words parody and satire mean.

Who’s begging? I haven’t seen a singe collection plate being passed around, unlike other churches…
“L. Ron Hubbard at least had the good sense to make his religion a secretive pyramid scheme”
What the Hell kind of argument is this?
