Was the world created by god, evolution or pasta?

Published October 5th, 2006 by Bobby Henderson

Simon Singh reviews The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster by Bobby Henderson.

The popularity of Intelligent Design over the past decade has been profoundly depressing for anybody who cares about science and rational thought. Supporters claim that some aspects of nature are so complicated that they cannot be explained by evolution, and therefore they conclude the existence of an entity who must have designed living beings. Although the criticisms of evolution are generally flawed and exaggerated, Intelligent Design is being taken seriously by many educationalists.

As the world progresses in various spheres the great noodly appendage slowly builds a better future for mankind. And how do we repay him? Human kind needs to worship “His Noodliness” with more zeal and vigour

If I do recall Saucy there are strippers of both genders at the factory. I guess you could call us an enlightened bunch. ^_^

As a recently converted pastafarian I wanted to use my religion as a topic for my informative speech in my speech class. My teacher said it would be a persuasive speech and that I wasn’t the only one who had the same subject. When will our persicution in the education system end?

Hey… the site now is a blog? I used to visit here, but… so, great idea.

Bob, I will warn you just once… NEVER, BUT NEVER, ASK A PROGRAM TO MAKE THE JOB OF A HUMAN!!! You did it? YOU ARE NOT A REAL PASTAFARIAN!!! Lol! The translation in Portuguese is REALLY BAD. Sounds like “Monster of Spaghetti of flight”… and the program “thinks” that barenaked is a city, or something like this!

About the post. The science, the faith and the reason, all the three says that the Creator has a noodly appendage. [Now, serious] The christians says that complex things can’t be done in simple randomic and natural stages, like an eye. First, a photorreceptive cell… if an animal had one, it could survive easily than if it had not. After, well, I will not explain all the thing, but in http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/library/01/1/l_011_01.html have a nice theory.

Hey, dude… have a nice day.

FOR SARA — why can’t you believe in Santa Klaus, elfs, invisible pink unicorns, and things like this? (A lie repeated a hundred times became a true?)

im catholic i believe in God the Father. You say your religion is correct but i do not understand your point of view. Where did this “spaghetti monster” come from,if not created by God. I am not trying to discriminate you,and i do not believe everyone should have the same religion. Everyone has different views on things. I would just like to understand this more, being that it doesnt make sense to me. Not to sound arrogant, but pasta & meatballs were made in like the 1700s in Europe? So how did this monster come to be? By the way,I’m thirteen, have an innocent mind and have been brought up in a Catholic home.Don’t give me harsh answers,I’m not trying to convert anyone,I would just like to hear some points of view.

What’ this I read that the school board kicked out the religious nut cases? Is it true? Does anyone have a link to a new article or something similar? Way to go Bobby!

  8. The Aussie says:

well, danielleeee, where did your god come from, if not created by the flying spaghetti monster?
This religion was discovered in this day and age by a man who wished to prevent the teaching of faith under the name of science, a feeling most of the readers on this board share, but we all believe that the FSM was there in the beginning. More than that, wwe dont know.
As for when spaghetti and noodles where created, im pretty sure noodles at least existed a fair bit earlier (in asia if nowhere else) but if the case is that they were invented in the 1700s, well, that period followed on from the renaisance, a time when mankind as a whole accelerated their scientific and religious knowledge. What better time for the FSM to touch our minds with his noodely appendage?
