I’ve said before that I could only condone the death penalty if I was prepared to execute the person. Hands on job! I probably couldn’t do it but I’m not so sure these days - perhaps I would!

i was raised Christian, believing in all that bullshit written in the motherfucking Holy Bible. On 11/20/2001 i was in a serious car crash; a DUI driving 70 mph hit the car i was in while it was at a dead stop, and i endured a Traumatic Brain Injury. The entire left side of my body became partially disabled, which put me through two and a half years of physical, occupational and speech therapies. i also developed several learning disabilities or whatever the fuck you want to refer to those as. Many people have told me that God kept me alive for a reason, and/or that God put me through everything that i experienced for a greater reason. Numerous people have told me that they pray for me every day, that they prayed for me every day while i was in the hospital, and will continue to pray for me to get better. i have no faith in a “God” who has made me a handicapped motherfucker and is in full control of how i heal. i’m fucking sick as fuck of douche bags telling me that they pray for me; i do not give a fuck! And researching various religions, how they are practiced and how people that belong to such faiths tend to go about their lives has led to my drawing the conclusion that it is all a fuckload of bullshit. What i have read on this site about Pastafarianism makes a lot more sense to me than the crap i’ve read in shit like the book of Mormon. i would not necessarily say that i believe the Flying Spaghetti Monster is our creator and all of that, but i would never think to deny His existence. i respect people and their beliefs, but personally i am Agnostic. Religion is too flimsy if you ask me, and it is not that i hate God, but i hate the concept of God.

I’m sorry you’re having a crap time. =( In your position, I would probably be extremely angry as well… actually, angry doesn’t even begin to cover it, does it? I don’t know what to say to offer my sympathy… I don’t want to trivialize what you are going through by pretending to understand, and I would probably just piss you off further if I tried. Since I don’t believe in God, I can’t really offer to pray for you or say that I think there is any reason good enough for your suffering. Sometimes, life is just an unholy bitch, and people who deserve it the least often end up suffering and dying for no discernable reason. But I do have my fingers crossed for a full recovery, and I hope in the meantime you can remember to try and have some fun and make friends with people here on the site.

I’m sorry. I want to welcome you to the site, and I want to tell you how sorry I am… but I honestly don’t know what to say in the face of your pain. For what it’s worth, I think the wenches and pirates on this site would be more than happy to be your friends… they’re a good lot of people! -
