Of course, why didnt i think of this before. the world is only 5 thousand years old. His noodliness made the world appear to be older than it actually is. All of our radiometric dating methods mean nothing. Thank you for enlightening me.

  7. 207 - February 5th, 2007 at - Jonno Says:

I have just read his noodly book and I find it a revelation, totally destroying my illogical ‘faith’ in atheism.

but I do have a few questions

Is noodly heaven the literal truth, does a heaven with beer volcano’s exclude having vodka/whisky/pepsi/coke fountains too. Would stripper factories also mean anything of fun nature(you have get some nibbles from somewhere. I notice nowhere is it mentioned that pasta itself would be avaliable in heaven.

Also would it be blasphemy to consider the spaghetti one to represent all forms of pasta not just those with meatballs in it. As I’m sure he/she/it would not want to reject vegetarians (not that I am one)

  8. 208 - February 5th, 2007 at - Jafaican Says:

When I first stumbled upon the FSM, I was delighted that Bobby tackled the ID problem so ingeniously. The FSM was the solution to the biased “Intelligent Design” curicullum to be included with evolution. It was created in jest, as a satire to the point of repeatedly saying “don’t take this as a satire”. Everyone involved with this internet phenomenon all know that the FSM is a made up hypothesis to battle an ever increasing problem of the inclusion of religous matter where it doesn’t belong. But, no one will admit that this is the reason for FSM worship. Everyone knows the FSM does not exist, but no one will state it. They will say, “prove to me that the FSM does not exist”. While I understand that is the whole meaning of this satire, I believe some people are taking it a little too serious. Before I critisize the FSM, its creator and followers, please let me say that I am 100% on the side of Bobby Henderson, and his views against the inclusion of ID in the science curicullum. My problem with the FSM phenomenom, is it started out as a satire for a purpose, and turned into a near full-blown religion. And I don’t think anyone truly believes there is a FSM in the sky that created everything, and if they do, how are they still alive? You would think natural selection would have wiped them out when the Haley-Bopp Coment came. Bobby Henderson created FSM for the right reasons, but is now keeping it alive for the wrong reasons. He is unemployed living off of the sale of FSM merchandise. Hmmmm…so he was so into the cause that he would rebel with a satire on what was to be taught, but now is using the money to buy a pirate ship and convert people? Are you FSM followers really that naive to believe this? All you who mutter incoherent statements ending with ARRRRR and RAmen. Your leader is unemployed, living off the money you spend to keep his satire alive, all the while not donating any time or energy to the actual cause. And even if the satire runs this deep, it is a waste of energy. Every letter sent to Bobby to praise his FSM-themed ipod covers would be better spent sending a letter to your school board, to your congressmen, hell, even to your president. Im sorry, but not being able to prove the FSM does not exist will not include him in classroom study, even if the traditional christian beliefs are included. So 5 years from now, when ID is in every science classroom as an alternate, but well-proven (bullshit) theory to evolution, and Bobby Henderson is a Cult Icon with an incredible amount of power (and a pirate ship), will people still be saying, “Well we can’t disprove the FSM so who are we to say it doesn’t exist.) The FSM analagy was INVENTED to deal with a problem. The problem still exists, so don’t just immerse yourselves in FSM lore. Learn WHY the FSM had to be created, and learn there are other ways to fight the ID inclusion problem.

    Bob.
I bought the gospel, it made me laugh. if seeling the book helps you make a living good on ya! better making someone laugh is afr better an occupation than scaming money of deluded zombies in the form of donations!

As a pastafarian i strive to be like his noodliness, indulging my need for stupidity and having fun here, as well as the serious nature of combatting superstition [opps that should be religion shouldn’t it…]. until i can maintain as many thoughts as He has appendages i shall continue to strive…

  10. 210 - February 5th, 2007 at - Jonno Says:

Well there are two ways to deal with the stupidity and in my cases the evil of religion (false religions of course not his/her/its noodlyness) that is via serious academic work like Richard Dawkins books and by mocking and humour.(Bobby Henderson) Both can be effective and in both cases the author’s make money. There is absolutely nothing in wrong in making money and doing the right thing. They need not be incompatible.

Any I’m being 100% serious when I say
the Flying Spaghetti monster is as valid a philosophy as christiainity, judiasm, islam , jedism, sithism and the believe somewhere out there is a 13 tribe of humans who live on a planet called Earth.

I do confess I’m British not American and in my country Christanity as a political force is joke (in Northern Ireland its a sick joke), more people are openly gay than admit to going to church reguarly. America is not the norm in the western world its the exception

PS really want to meet up to worth the spaghetti one in London are there any of you others out there, ?
    Jon

  11. 211 - February 6th, 2007 at - Atheist Says:

Easy to see what’s best, and for those r-tards at the “Hate Mail” section, this religion is a hundreds time more reasonable than the other ID Religions.

I do not outright “believe” anything of this, (Atheism) but this religion is the most plausible of all.

God? Yeah right. No reason to believe it. Prove it.

This religion is more to my taste. (Pun intended)

  12. 212 - February 6th, 2007 at - Atheist Says:

Oh, and if anyone want some laughs, I suggest you read the posts of the retards at the Hatemail section!

  15. 215 - February 8th, 2007 at - The FSM loves you Says:

Today I was touched by his Noodly Appendage.
I was pondering the probability of a God.
But it struck me much more reasonable that a God would be made out of something that actually exists. I take up the FSM as the one true faith.
    Ramen. And Yarrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I was brought up as a Catholic, but I’m not a Catholic anymore by choice, and at this point in my life I’m a little confused about religion. Pastafarianism has helped me to realize the hypocracies of organized religion and led me to form my own beliefs. I don’t want to have my morals served to me in a little disc of unlevened bread! So thanks, fellow believers, and RAmen.

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
