I saw a couple girls dressed up as pirates preaching about FSM. They gave me a pamphlet, named me “hench merry”, and I was off. Needless to say I’ll be clad in my pirate attire from now on.

Go Terps, FSM blesses all you say and do. The FSM thinks Duke Sucks, this came to me in a dream. He said something about taking a dump on coach k…..

Living the the DC Metro area I was pleased to see so many Pastafarians out and about on a late October night. Many, many pirates and yes, even child pastafarians were spreading the word and collecting candy tribute to the honor of hid noodliness.

    RAmen.
Another reason why FSMism pisses on Christianity.
The Jesus lot worship by eating ‘bread’ that doesn’t fill them up and drinking wine that doesn’t make them drunk.
Where as Pastafarians can worship by eating a delicious and filling bowl of Spag. & Meat Balls and quaffing vast quantities of grog.

Given that ‘evidence’ is equal, we have a graph and better rituals, I can’t see anyone bothering with Christianity in about 20 years.

We don’t discriminate against homosexuals and we don’t look down on women.
OK, so we do look AT women, but come on we’re only human and have flimsy moral standards.

    RAmen.

If the christian ‘god’ created man in his image, then why can’t FSM create pasta, a delicious and filling meal, in his image for us to enjoy?

yea, people say ‘well soaghetti was made after humans, so how could he make stuff?”? well to me it makes sence, its like math, and electricity, it has always ben there but people just ahvent discovered it yet. so you see therefore the flying spaghetti monster could have made everythign even though he is made of spag.

OK, OK, so we do occasionally look down on and at women particularly if they wear low cut tops.
Which Booty points out is pretty much standard issue Wench-wear.

And is your eye never caught by a dashing eye patch or jauntily set tricorn hat?

I heard a rumour that the FSM created Pirates the day after He designed the beer volcanoes and was a little hungover. He apparently didn’t mean to give them the evolutionary ability to develop mental problems. He was trying to imagine a perfect being but His mind was a little hazy.
As I said, just a rumour I heard.

Low tops were invented by FSM for our benefit and I feel compelled to marvel at his creation. (I’m not being a perv.)

    Go Terripins!
I am a new and enthusiastic convert to Pastafarianism. No one else I know seems to understand my faith and unfaltering belief in the FSM. I try to explain if it is okay for people to believe in Thetans and John Smith’s golden plates why is it any more/less obsurd that I believe in a flying spaghetti monster? Why must we be persecuted for our own personal choice of religion? Maybe if we started charging people thousands of dollars for the knowledge of the FSM or how about a monthly cut of their income say around 10% then our church could become all powerful and even control the government and media. Then everyone would be forced to listen to the gospel of the FSM and we could even teach it in schools as a viable atlernative to scientific evidence. But that could never happen. I am getting carried away.

Right, thanks alchemist! I was a bit suspicious about viagra but there are sometimes genuine posters here who chose similar names. Usually trolls (or teens trying to be trolls) so I wasn’t always sure. And when I checked there was no comment to be seen. At least now I know why!

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
