The FSM makes a surprise appearance at the 2005 Stanford-Cal game. It apparently went over well.

It is so nice to find FSM a welcoming church. Everytime I come to this site I see a message, “Welcome back Louis”. This last weekend I sent a friend to your beloved website and she admits that she has beena belevier for some time but did not know it. It is nice to know that I have a Pastafarian friend.

I find the use of a small letter “p” at the start of “Pasta” a bit demeaning and sacriligious, might I suggest we developa traditon of capitalization in our most holy words Pasta, Pastafarian, and Noodle?

I usually capitalize those words, so I totally agree. Give our Pasta the respect He deserves.

@Louis: RAmen. I will start using the capital ‘P’ for pasta (when appropriate). I myself heard about FSM a couple years ago and some random people brought me back with this site.
    .
@MPKalypso: It seems sacreligious that they are not pirates. It truely breaks my heart, but oh well, a bowl of spaghetti will cure that.

Having recently graduated from Stanford, I can tell you that those are members of the marching band. Our band is pretty crazy. Like, you don’t have to know how to play an instrument in order to join. It’s more of a drunken crowd than an actual band, but we can kinda sorta play all the right songs. Anyway, they do fun stuff on the sidelines during games, and this fits right in with that crazy spirit.

Secondly, how can you be god when the only true god/religion is the Flying Spaghetti Monster? No other gods exist, and all religion sucks cock.
Thirdly, TrApez0iD doesn’t mean anything – so why do you call yourself that? LOL!
Fourthly, we FSM followers don’t like to have racist niggers like you on our site, ok?? So what do you say honoured FSM followers? Let’s ban the stupid cock! :D:D:D

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
