Inga’s FSM Pirate Party:

My friends and I have been pirates for about four years now. I thought
perhaps you would enjoy some pictures of our latest pirate party. Â As an
environmental sciences major, I am well familiar with theories on global
warming, and like to do my part in curbing the disturbing trends in climate
change. We in Canada are doing our best to spread the word and help touch
people in the way that only a noodly appendage can.
All hail the FSM!

Greetings from Iowa City

This Halloween my boyfriend dressed up as the FSM, and my housemate and I were his pastafarians. Unfortunately, we could not find any pirates, but as there are not any large bodies of water around IC, we were not incredibly surprised. We did, however, distribute tracts and spread the “good news.” We also ran into Jesus, who said that he was “95% converted to FSMism.” Here are a few pics from our adventure.

While I didn’t have any tracts, I did go trick or treating a a pirate. While doing so I was in my pirate garb and only speaking like a pirate. Unfortunatly, my friends were a wizard and King Kong. But I think my little part helped. It has become exceptionally colder here in Indiana since… oh say… July 10th.

Bush is suppressing the age of the Grand Canyon in favor of Noah’s Ark book

I couldn’t figure out how to start a new topic so I thought I would start it here. Apparently, Park Service Rangers at the Grand Canyon are forbidden to state the Geological age to visitors, but they are allowed to sell a book claiming that it was created by Noah’s flood.

I propose that we request to sell the FSM Gospels at the park stores and perhaps a pamphlet stating that the Grand Canyon was the original location of the great Pasta water deluge.

(Web Admin please start this as a new topic)

    WHAT??????? Unbelievable!!!
Gideon, might I suggest you post this on the FSM discussion board as well.
More serious stuff tends to get drowned sometimes at the CoFSM.
Here is the link, if you don’t have it:

Also think it needs its own thread here.
Thanks for the link and RAmen

There are moderators on the FSM discussion board, so you should be able to start a thread there. I’m not sure how the board works, but it appears to be easy to start a new topic. (I think)

Hi Nikky - are there moderators on this site? This isn’t me being daft btw.

  8. 8 Wench Nikky Dec 29th, 2006 at 5:24 pm

Not that I know of Alchemist. I’m sure some of us would have heard from them by now.
And would happen to the hatemailers that we all love and treasure?

  9. 9 Alchemist Dec 29th, 2006 at 5:38 pm

Hmm. Good point. I really can be a thick bastard sometimes. What is the time where you are btw - I’m trying to set up FoxClocks - I have no idea what timezone our posts are in - normally they’re in units of an hour from GMT - not here though.

@All the worthy Pirates in the above pics.
Excellent job and excellent outfits. With Pastafarians like you lot on the job, we’ll have those ice caps re-frozen in no time.

Thanks for the time check Nikky. Sad I know, but I’m trying to set up timezones for most of the regular posters in the status bar. I think I need a new book to read :)

I see you were the first over to greet TLMs return Alchemist. I foresaw this event clearly as soon as TLMs tag came up.

There is some level of moderation because if you include a link <A> in your message it gets moderated (sometimes).

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
