i am not sure if this is the right way to go about it. But i have been reading some stuff that has been in the hate mail. Now i am not here to write some more hate mail. at the moment i am quite impartial to what is the supreme being that i know is there, yet do not know what it is. My first point is that an athiest believes in no god what so ever, doesnt believe in any reason for being created. So therefore the creator of this site cannot be an athiest.

Second i dont see the point of abusing someone elses faith. Everyone is entitled to there own faith. Whether it is wrong completely or not at all may never be shown to us. The way that some of the posts have been done are that of a person who is only open to themselves. If you do not like the FLM there is no need for you too talk about it. you do not need to come back again and agian to try and slur its name. Once would be enough. to be honest what you remind me of is the crusades, you are trying to wipe anyway out of the way of what you think is right. Yet even your religious leader the pope apolagised for it. i am not having a go at christians as well. i am just trying to put a point of reason on the board.

i hope you will not see this as an attack on anyone. i wish you well with what you do in life

Your messages to the pastafarian people has been reached.
Not to mention the entire point of these religious beliefs. I love the irony of the hate mail section.

New verse for “Old Time Religion”
(cf. Astarte, Chthulhu, and other verses at sites such as
    http://sniff.numachi.com/pages/tiOLTIMR2;ttOLTIMREL.html)

    From Spaghetti Monster’s vantage
He could not reach Alan Sandage
    With his Noodly Appendage
But It’s good enough for me.

Gimme that Old Time Religion (3 times)
    It’s good enough for me.

Sandage, who calculated the first good value of the Hubble Constant, turned Christian later, claiming that the universe is too complicated to have arisen by chance.

    Sorry, that should be

And the temperature went up. I think that this graph has been changed by the FSM, praise be to him, however, for the benefit of society we should change the graph to look some what intelligent. ;)

    Hi

Are there any plans to produce greetings cards for believers to send to each other in time for this winter’s soltice?

    Regards

    Will

What we really need is a good FSM Christmas tree topper. I’m working on one now but I’m a mediocre sculpture at best.

Could the creators of these wonderful brochures TWEAK some of the graphics for better reproduction on black and white copiers? Some areas appear too light even with darkness settings at maximum.I have been printing via network to a high end XEROX copier so I’m not losing resolution from scanning the original. All of the text seems to be fine EXCEPT within the pirates/global temperature graph and the visibility of his holiness as portrayed in the masterpiece “I Want To Believe” and “over the mountain with midget”. Under the best of circumstances, lighting allows for a reasonable level of readability, however most of my efforts towards conversion take place in poorly lit areas adjacent to strippers and beer.

    Dear Mr. Henderson,

ÃŽ’m Mike, a 15 years old student from a “gymnasium”(highest possible education here) in Switzerland and I came across the FSM’s wikipedia article and i loved it. Here in Switzerland we have to attend religion as a school subject that counts as much as maths, physics and every other subject. Now we have to give a speech about the religion we feel is the right one. Because I don’t believe in a God who created the world and stuff, I’d like to have my speech about your “religion”. I’ve got only one problem, and that’s where I’d really appreciate your help: It has to be a half-an-hour-speech and i’m afraid i don’t have enough information about your parody-religion. If you could supply a little bit more information, I’d appreciate that. I know I should buy the Gospel, unfortunately it would take too long(and would be too expensive) to have it shipped from the U.S. and it’s not avaiable in Switzerland. So I hope you’ll help me give a fun speech about your religion, I’m sure I’d be able to convert some of my school-buddies…Because the FSM-theory is just as logical as everything being created by a supernatural power like let’s say….God…

    Sincerly yours,

    Mike, Switzerland

    Dear Mike,
    /
I’m not Bobby, but I read your post and have a question for you. Are you required to pick a religion or is atheism an option? Requiring you to pick a religion makes it sound as if deciding to reject all religion isn’t a reasonable choice.

It’d be nice if there were .gif or .jpg files about 100×100 pixels, suitable for use as avatars in the online forums. Anybody know of a source for those?

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
