Yeh, I live in the "Sunshine State" and was wonderin' if there be any Pastafarians around, particularly in the North Central Florida area. Can't say this is exactly a gathering (hey, I can't even bloody DRIVE yet...) but I was wondering if anyone here was a Floridian Pastafarion other than meself...

We should schedule a gathering one of these days in Orlando (close to the center). I guess most of us could just drive about 4 hours. Perhaps to proselytize in one of the conventions?

When the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie comes out the revamped Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney will re-open. That sounds like fun to me.

My 35 year old son is getting married in the Fall and they have decided a week at D World would make a dandy honeymoon. They've already bought tickets, full 7 day passes to all the parks. Wish I could do that! I could easily spend 7 days there.

I know where all the quiet, little, out of the way bars are hidden at Disney!

This weekend there will be a battle re-enactment of the Battle of Olustee. I attended last years and the turn out is tremedous! Pity we couldn't don our regalia and meet there. The Pirates of The Civil War.

Per haps we could gather and go to the Holy Land experience?

In costume of course, not that they would let us in. We could teach that the Divine Noodle was the inspiration behind the whips they use during the daily flogging and crucifixtion they perform, right next to all the food stands.

Wish I was kidding, about the place, and the reenactment.

Ugh, you mentioned the Holy Land Experience. My sister, the evangelical right wing-nut, has an annual pass to that place. She's always dragging poor suckers down there.....and she lives up around Jacksonville! Not like it's just down the road. She thinks it's one of the holiest places on Earth. Makes me crazy babbling about it.

Watched it being built, it uses the same styrofoam/stucco walls as the rest of the theme parks. The good news is that they are going down, like Splendid China, Stars hall of Fame, Xanadu, Circus World, Mystery Fun House, Florida Festival, Malibu Golf and Games, and a handful of other 'niche' parks. I can't wait for the auction
