This is not because of any prejudice we have against those who are cheerful, but because some... unenlightened individuals have thought that it would be really clever of them to write "omg thats so cheerful lol."

And guess what? Half of them go to my school!!!

It's not the same at my school, popularity is not so clearly defined, but my point is, I don't care if you are Dick Cheney, if you use g-a-y in a derrogitary manner, you will get one helluva tounge-lashing.

The other reason the g*ay word is in the filter is that the p*orn spammers like it. Try putting that p-word or any of the supposed filter-missing forms of it into print, and you'll find a discussion of something also called shrimp.

why not have an R18 room with decoder for all of those things? so people can become aware of them and avoid them in there post, e.g. replace g*ay with 'male homosexual' or 'happy' as needed. (the only reason it would be R18 is the content will be adult in design)

The Guesthouse, yes, not always the greatest. I think that the usage of the filter here is very just indeed, unlike other forums I have been to, where there is no filter.

Long John, if you know how this site might be hacked, you should tell an admin so they can fix the problems, plug the holes.

Well, we don't want that to happen. I am sure we can find someone who can fix the problems with the site, and if we pointed out the bugs to the fixer, we could get the site somewhat hacker-proofed.

This is NOT helping my current anger problem. The one where I wanna go throttle the living breath out of Bobby's "guy".

IT people are like plumbers. You are desperate to have them arrive and stop the flood, then you are desperate to have them come back again to sort out the mess they made. That's a generalisation. I found a good plumber. We swapped trade for trade. We charged (swapped) each other a fortune. When we rang each other up for help, we both used the same songbook - we understood each others level of desperation. For him losing his Outlook address book with all his customers was equivalent to a flood.
