Nay matey...Oiv tried that technique an no amount o garlik took away thee smell orf me croo...as it appened we were docked in 'Varna' an a strange fella called Captain Cronan tried ta board our shyppe tagavver wiv a shipment o wooden boxes but, whether it were thee garlik or me croo I jus don't know, thee fellar wouldn't come aboard.

I heard later he went on a nice clean shyppe bound for Yorkshire.
