Terrible disaster in Japan. To show the world how merciful Flying Spaghetti Monster could be, I have started a fundrasing effort for International Medical Corps through it's UK partner (because I am living in the UK and using a web service based here).

Flying Spaghetti Monster Bless Japan

The rule is simple: You give this blog article 100 FB likes, I donate £100, until the fund reaches it's £1000 goal. If it reaches its goal in less a week, I will match it with an additional £500.

In other words, you don't even have to donate yourself, just spread the word and share the blog page.

Please support, for Flying Spaghetti Monster!

You get used to it. To translate:

Thank you, you're welcome, please

We usually just ignore him, so don't worry about it. He's not really running out of lollys, he just picks them up of the floor all the time, you know.

Join the Million for the Monster challenge!

Is that blatant enough? We on the kiva Team Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster want you to lend money to people working to build mini businesses in third world countries. Kiva is an outstanding micro lending site. I lend $25, which is bundled with others' $25. The far off person uses it and returns it, and I can lend it again. It's fun. It builds a better world.

The MILLION thing - - we want to have $1M lent in the name of His Noodliness by March 20th. We're getting close, but need an extra boost over the top.

And we won't stop there. We're going to go on to be the highest lending Religious Congregation team in all of kiva.

Join us! kiva.org

Here are a few examples of recent loans:

PIRATE HATS

Postby violette2726 on Fri Aug 10, 2012 2:19 am

Hey all my fine fellow worshipers, do you want to worship in style?

Check out my website for top quality hand decorated pirate hats. Just do a web search for "hats by violette." I won't post a link since I think they are not allowed at this time.

I have been dressing as a pirate for ten years now, working festivals and once I found the FSM, spreading the word of his Noodley Wonder.

Yours in pasta,

Violette

Beautiful hats. Such a shame that I'm allergic to wool.

Hey friends and enemies,

I have just started selling my book on ebay. I started the bid at $0.01 with free shipping just to get a good following started.

If you don't have an ebay account or want to pay more than $0.01 here is a link to Amazon where you can buy my book for $3.59 plus shipping.

Thank you for your consideration.

I forgot this thread existed.

Haven't been doing well for the past several years, and though I thought I had found the cure to my health issues, relapses have managed to keep me from being able to work consistent hours (I had a part time job as a caregiver, but I can't even do that at the moment) and left me pretty much to one regular design client and a few odd jobs while retaining debt from my divorce and my credit card.

I'm not asking for money, precisely, but if you happen to have more than you can use, it would really be helpful to me right now. I'd declare bancrupcy, but in the US your student loans are the one thing that doesn't go away when you can't afford to pay for stuff and they know it, and declaring bankruptcy is just about the worst thing you can do to your credit report.

Anyway, if you want something designed for print and could afford to pay someone for it, I'd appreciate the opportunity to do it for you. RAmen.

For those of you British Pastafarians, who are somewhere near Oxford...

Oxford Skeptics in the Pub* (of which yours truly is a member) is hosting a talk on Wednesday, March 19 2014 about about whether Creationism/Intelligent Design might contribute to the teaching of biology at year 7-12 level (our speaker is pro-evolution btw, but should make for an interesting talk).

*Skeptics in the Pub is a network of groups (now worldwide) where those interested in science, skepticism, rationalism, critical thinking can socialise and discuss matters of interest.

For more info, visit Oxford Skeptics in the Pub's website or look us up on Facebook
