Well, if it was ten events, it would be a decathlon. If it was eight events, it might be oct-athletics? So I guess someone taking part in all nine events is a non-athlete. That sounds about right to me...

The official Portsmouth Pirate Orchestra and Chorus has struck up a stirring anthem... I'm told that the runner is approaching the arena... And now we can just see a figure framed in the gates... Yes! It appears to be...

...the home Nation The Piratica Olympic Team. So many big names, so many competitors, it's just a pity that only few of them do not have prosthetic limbs...
