What is weightless , but when added to a barrel full of liquid , will empty it ?

Edit: maybe this one is too easy . It stumped the class ... back in the day .
Since I can't think of another riddle at the moment I might as well leave it here .

Is a hole weightless? A hole in a barrel would contain either the weight of the liquid pouring out of it, or the weight of the air that fills it. If you think of a hole as an absence of wood in the barrel, does that mean that a hole actually has negative weight?

What does happen when Pinocchio tells you his nose is going to grow? Does it mean he's 2/6 dead?

Light/heat? Certainly should work if the barrel is full of water, evaporation and all that. I don't know if it would apply to all liquids, but theoretically it should, if you add enough heat to the liquid in the barrel, whatever the liquid is will turn into gas and leave the barrel.
