With all the Diamond Jubilee hoopla, I've been listing to some music appropriate for the Queen.
"How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, 'This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed'? Instead they say, 'No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.'" - Carl Sagan

"To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection." - Henri Poincaré

Willow Tree by Unkle Vanya. Bloody hell, Roy, where have you been hiding this? I've a mind to give it a shot at the coffee house, if someone happens to pass along the words and music.
"Mit der Dummheit kämpfen Götter selbst vergebens."
("Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.")
-- Friedrich Schiller (1759–1805)
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.
-- Philip K Dick

OK, now let's look at four dimensions on the blackboard.
-- Dr. Joy

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

The fellow on standing bass looks a bit shifty.

Thanks, ET. The lyrics from our setlist have quite a casualty rate: we are currently up to three deaths (two murders, one suicide), two people going mad, innumerable broken hearts, four people being beaten up, and a car crash. Oh - and lots of drinking. LOTS of drinking...

I'll see if we can get any of this stuff written down, and I'll PM you.
"I don't mean to sound bitter, cynical or cruel; but I am, so that's how it comes out." ~ Bill Hicks.
"To argue with a person who has renounced reason is like administering medicine to the dead." ~ Thomas Paine.
"One should not believe everything one reads on the internet." ~ Abraham Lincoln.
"If you're making a political point wearing a balaclava, you're a c***. It was true for the IRA and it's true now." ~ daftbeaker.

I love a song with a nice morbid theme. One of my favorites is about the mass murder of 73 children - 1913 Massacre.

You should definitely write down all your lyrics for eventual inclusion as a blood-spattered insert in your best-selling CD.

I know there's no Sex Pistols without Sid Vicious but they should have been invited to the Jubilee concert...and Chris de Burgh with his eye brows on fire singing his punk version of 'Lady in Red':

Lady in Red
I wish she was dead
**** off your madge
I'm locked in the shed
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

This, this, and this. OMFSM, I love this album. It's as if my ears are making love to my brain (it helps if you don't envisage that one).

Ashley's been sending me to YouTube to listen to Scissor Sisters. She says they're becoming one of her favorite bands, and she's going to lend me one of their albums. From what I've heard they're pretty good.

A friend also recommended a band called Noisettes, and I watched one of their music videos, "Never Forget You", which was good.

The Offspring - Days Go By. I'm really looking forward to the new album, this sounds really promising.

The Sex Pirates. They are a local band and have a new album out called: "Never mind the Rollocks"

Psychedelic rock, really really loudly. I put it on loud enough to hear through my shower, and then when I got out I never lowered it while I shaved and got dressed. Owww.

I've been listening to brony music. Some songs are better than others, most are corny. It's nothing I would add to my collection, but my friends are always raving about AcousticBrony and MandoPony and their collaborations, so I decided to see what it was all about.
