We all know that He holds us down with His Noodly Appendages, and as there are so many humans in the world today, this is why we are getting taller, as He can't push as hard. This is also related to the size of midgets, as He loves them more than anyone else. Them and strippers. But then I know you knew that already.

My current theory is that the poor woman thought that by blaspheming under her breath, His Noodliness would temporarily stop pushing her down. Not to be!
