Meatball question

We all know that His Noodliness (Pasta Be Upon Him) is composed of pasta and meatballs.

I have a friend who is a lapsed Hindu but still retains a lot of the cultural things that go with it. She's interested in Pastafarianism but really doesn't like the idea that the FSM could be made of beef.

I've suggested that the meatballs are metaphysical and therefore could be made of anything, but she's like something more concrete. I've suggested that the meatballs might be made of that yummy pork and shrimp mix you get inside wunton dumplings. Would this be okay?

Auntie, me dear, you be right. They be, above all, meat. There is nothing in canon to say that they have to be beef, regardless of what historical documents may come to light, and as David so clearly mentions, they are metaphysical. Also, and this is an important distinction, does your friend have friends who eat beef? If so, does she not talk to them because of this? It's the same, essentially. Look at the beer volcano. That can provide your beverage of choice, so if this is true of the volcano, then the same (meatiness) must be true of the meatballs. If you want fish, you got fish. If you want sparrow, you got sparrow. If you don't want the beef ones, then just don't eat them. Simple. Pastafarianism is officially 100% dogma free, and can be moulded (before cooking) into something that suits.

Much like the mystery of the Holy Trinity, in which the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three and yet one at the same time; the Two Meatballs are two meatballs and yet not two meatballs at the same time, and they could be pork at the same time as being beef, chicken at the same time as being venison. It is ineffable, a mystery, and yet at the same time completely and utterly useless nonsense. They may as well be wontons, although they will obviously not be wontons at the same time.
