I've finished that brilliant book about the House on Bankside and have just started re-reading 'Flashman and the Mountain of Light' which is appropriately set at the time of Queen Vic's Jubilee and concerns the Koh-i-Noor diamond.
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

Got a bit of Cities In Flight on the go ...

... a mighty fine tale, although if I told you the plot you would think I was high. The same goes for A Voyage To Arctarus, thinking about it.

Started in on 1Q84.

Murakami's doing some good stuff, so far. There's a lot of symbolism, metaphors, and foreshadowing going, but not in a way that detracts from the plot.

I have heard more than one mention of the Song of Ice and Fire and I am thinking of reading it next. I have just started watching 'Game of Thrones' so no spoilers please.

I read three of the five stories in "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" by J.K. Rowling. Good so far.

They're quite good. It's nice to read something a little different from the usual fairytale.

My colleague in the office has just spent a fortune on the Blue Ray of series one 'Game of Thrones' so please don't tell me any more. I'm only up to episode two and it's got me hooked. As a Graphic Designer I think the 'Titles' are brilliant.

The Life of Katherine Swinford by Alison Weir. Really interesting background stuff on the 14th century. Downloaded free as an .epub from TUEBL.

The actress was 21 at the time of filming, but Daenerys is only 13 at that stage of the book. :shocked:
