Arrrgh I loved that series matey. The producers have said that they'll make another series. They also said that the clues to Holmes's survival are in the episode. I think it's the Molly connection with her helping to fake Holmes's death.

In the original, if I remember correctly, Holmes and Moriarty plunged to their deaths in the Reichenbach Falls and Conan Doyle intended that to be the end of Sherlock. However there was a huge outcry and Conan Doyle eventually brought the detective back.
