Does anyone know how someone can donate money to fund the pirate ship?

Shouldn't this thread be in Pirates, where such luminaries as Nef Yoo, Bart, DaveL, Auntie and Mad Will can offer their guidance? I'm sure the pirates can give you some sound and impartial financial advice...

Is there a dedicated thread regarding the particulars of the pirate ship? I haven't seen any posts about it on the main page in a long while; I don't want to inundate Mr. Henderson with e-mails asking questions others have already asked or questions that may not be concerns for anyone else.
