Any Texans here? I'm new :) Everything is bigger in TX including sphagetti.

I thought Texas was pretty small, myself, having lived in a much bigger state*… :whistle:


*Which was quite small compared to most of its neighbours.

you mean Texas isn't the biggest state?

btw. I was looking for ops to volunteer on Dec 25 and found an advertisement in the local paper for meals for the homebound on that day. I looked up the number and it belongs to a church affiliated w/ Kenneth Copeland. They speak in tongues. Anyways, as long as they don't ask what church I belong to I'm fine! left a message to see if they needed any help.

There's Edd as well, he's nice but hasn't been around for a while. Last we heard he was under a lot of pressure from work though.

Still around but mostly lurking.

Did I give the impression I was under a lot of pressure at work? Relatively speaking, it's probably still better than most other jobs, I just miss being self-employed. My current woes aren't work related.

Anyway, to get back on topic: Yes, I was born and raised in the Lone Star state and can't imagine living anywhere but San Antonio, even though there is a significant shortage of Pastafarians.

Born in Texas as well. Work (50+ hour weeks) and driving down to see Ms. Warlord in Corpus Christi every weekend has kept me pretty damn busy. That and trying to stop the spammers here. Sin. WoE.

I work alot too. plus I have a farm w/ lots of 4-legged critters that eagerly await my arrival back home each evening. So I work all the time.

It's not even the biggest US state, never mind states in other countries.

Here's a few for comparison:

Western Australia = 2,645,615 km²
Queensland = 1,852,642 km²
Alaska = 1,717,854 km²
South Australia = 1,043,514 km²
New South Wales = 809,444 km²
Texas = 696,200 km²

Unlike Texas I can proudly say I've walked the length of Moreton-on-Lugg and never got attacked by an Injun once.
