Every time I see that movie, I'm just saying that constantly for like, a month afterwards.

Saw The Polar Express on Tuesday. It was... interesting. Not bad, but not entirely sure I liked it. I suppose I liked the conductor and the general Tom Hanks-ness of it all, but beyond that.... not much.

The Korean Horror film 'The Host' featuring a giant mutant tadpole...

Knowing, Nicholas Cage. What a pile of sweaty, stained pants. Nick does his usual acting repertoire: crying, looking confused, shouting, running. He meets a girl. She cries, she looks confused, she shouts, she runs. His wife is dead. Her husband is dead. They have a kid each, he a boy, she a girl. The world is ending and only Nick can stop it. Unfortunately, I would rather the world ended now than that I had to watch the rest of this movie. Please shoot me now.

Watch Korean Horror movies like me and you wont be disappointed...no chance of Nicholas cage appearing in them.

2001: A Space Odyssey

Not for the first time, but I drag it back out once in a while. Still awesome.

Triple header planned for today. I'm in theater waiting for the new Sherlock Holmes to start. Later I have rented Bunraku and Dark City.

I love Dark City.

Was the first Sherlock Holmes movie good? I never saw it, but am interested in the second one. However, I don't like seeing movies out of series order.
Get your bake on.

SUPER EXTRA CRISPY

I quite enjoyed both Sherlock Holmes films. Just go in expecting a fairly smart action film, not like the books and you'll be fine.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was just excellent.

Doomsday. I think it presents a very fair and balanced image of brits and scots alike. One early scene perfectly depict how I imagine glasgow by night.

The Dinner Game. A bit ballsier than the American re-make, in the choice of shooting most of the film in one set, and in making the lead a distinct schmuck. Humor was a bit more subtle, I liked the dig at wine culture.
"How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, 'This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed'? Instead they say, 'No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.'" - Carl Sagan
