Pirate Fish Decals for Automobiles?

Postby OCR14a on Tue Nov 24, 2009 8:48 am

Hi. :pirate_fish:
Sorry, if this has already been discussed, but I tried a search and the search mechanism refused to let me search for the following terms: decals, stickers and automobile
....and there's no way I'm gonna sift through all of the threads to see if this is in there somewhere. :fsm_yarr:
So, here goes...

Are there any (vinyl) stickers or decals of the pirate fish that people can put on the outside of their vehicle?

I'm considering putting one on my FJC if I can find it somewhere.

Ultimately, it would be nice to have one that is black fish with transparent background so the vehicle color can show through.

Do what I did when I wanted to put my company logo on my minibus; I took the artwork to a place that makes vinyl stickers for vehicles, and they ran it through their computers and thence their laser cutters on the colour of vinyl of my choice.

As to the search engine: it is borked (like the forum clock, which insists on following no known time zone) and it is easier to put 'venganza', plus the search string you wish to find, into a public search engine.

Good idea. I've never been to one and have no leads around here, but I will definitely check into this idea when I'm ready to do this. Thanks!

Aha! Ya, I use Google's 'site search' whenever I'm trying to find something on the website for CU-Boulder (where I work), cause our campus built-in search engine sucks. Will do here too. Thanks. :fsm_rock:

Oh ya, those guys. I was at their house one time a few years back for a party (spilled a full glass of red wine on their brand new cream colored carpet, and she came out with some magic white dust and said, it's OK, this'll get it right out.....and it did). Anyway, I will check and see what they have available in this department as well.
Thanks all. :zen:

Doh! :P
Sorry, black bart. I totally forgot to come back and check in again.
I'm sure you have found the stuff by now.

So, as for the vinyl decal thing,
I ended up getting them from vinyldecals.com
http://www.vinyldecals.com/island-style ... bones.html

I got two 10" ones, one normal and one reversed so that I could put them on both sides of Sandi...

I can't even remember posting that!

The adverts at the bottom of the page are tempting me.

The very first gift my husband gave me was a little His Noodliness decal for my car.

For some reason, I guess I only posted a link to the photo before, but now I decided to go ahead and post the actual pic here in this thread...

.....shortly after I added the pirate fish to Sandi, another local FJ Cruiser guy put one on his as well. :zen:
