Oh boy! I've discovered a jar of homemade sweet mincemeat in the refrigerator! I only had two spoonfuls because of my diet, but that could be a nice dessert as a reward for eating my vegetables! All I have for vegetables is celery and peppers though. I have Brussels sprouts and other things in the freezer, but they're frozen and thus not good for snacking. Still, I like celery and peppers. I'll have some celery tomorrow. The sealed package has been sitting in the fridge for who knows how long, but it's still hard so it's probably still good.

Sirloin steak, well done with a covering of pepper, served with mashed potato and brown sauce

Yesterday and today, I had Genoa salami sandwiches on multigrain bread, with spicy brown mustard. Simple, yet delicious.

Eating Homemade ramen while bobbing my head to Fall Out Boy. It would be better if I'd veggies to put in it.... Or if I'd remembered to drop an egg in the soup, come to think of it... But otherwise, quite good.

I'm going to get one o' them pasta machines. And by pasta machine, I mean play dough toys:

I wonder if that's dishwasher safe.

Pasta machines are cool - you can make really really long spaghetti / linguini / whatever with them. We use ours if we have company for dinner, usually lasagne, and you can make lasagne sheets that fit the dish properly! How cool is that?

Anyway, I am eating brown rolls with bacon, potato scones and brown sauce. Cup o' tea, glass o' orange juice.

A cheese and pickle sandwich. The smaller chunk Branston Pickle makes for much easier and even spreading. I think it might be improved with some marmite though.

A bacon and egg muffin. Uni food isn't too bad.

Chinese preserved olive slices. I don't know quite what to make of them. The ingredients are olives, salt, sugar and liquorice. Strange. I don't like them, but then I don't hate them either. What I think most about them is, why on earth would you take perfectly nice olives and make something so weird out of them?

My wife picked them up in the Chinese supermarket, thinking "Olives. Roy likes olives. I'll get him some..."

She bought them, so I have to eat them.

Leftover pasta and bolognese sauce. What's the pasta that looks like a long screw thread? Is it fusili?

Yep, fusili. The Boy called it DNA pasta when he was wee. What a nerd.

I am finishing off the pistachio nuts we brought back from Spain.
