I saw Bald Eagles today!!! Not on the computer, but actually out in the wild.
More on this tomorrow.

Apparently there is a pair of sea eagles hereabouts. Haven't seen them yet, but we take the dog out walking in the right area, so it's only a matter of time...

After all the hub-bub about the Eagle -cam, I decided last week to take a swing by the area where the Bald Eagles had a nest by the power plant. (As I mentioned in the Science Section). Well, the platform is still there, but no nest on it. I did see an Eagle perching on top of the tower though! I pulled to the side of the road and noticed to the right of the tower and set further back, a tall pine tree, with a huge nest towards the top of it. Eureaka!
Mr. TS and I went there yesterday afternoon to see what we could see. Of course, we could see the nest but even with binoculars we couldn't tell if there was anything in the nest. I don't really know how far off the road the tree is or how high up the nest is, I'm not good at judging those things. It wasn't really close though.
Mr. TS was getting impatient when all of a sudden an Eagle flies into view and lands at the nest. Then we could see the other Eagle in the nest. (very exciting) We watched for awhile and then headed home being it was starting to rain.
Pix? Well, no. "Someone" took the camera off the charger and it lost it's charge. ( :furious: )
I plan on stopping there again one evening this week to see if I can get some photos. If I do, I will post them here.
Oh, you would think a large bird that builds a HUGE nest would pick a strong tree....this pine looks like it could topple over at any minute.

We always have cats visiting us from across the road. Tonight, Minnie came for a visit. Sweet little gray tabby that still looks like a 6 month old kitten even though she's not a kitten anymore, she's the same size she was last year. So I fed her and petted her and when I came back outside later, there she was again. She will sit and stretch her front paws out and up to you as to say "pick me up", which I did. Then I felt something rubbing against my legs. Looking down I saw a cat I've never seen on my porch before. A lovely pale orange kitty. He/she was just having a good old time rubbing against my legs.
It let me pet it and rolled around, so I brought out more food.
Yep, I'm a sucker for kitties.

My German Shepard is named Minnie, and she is closer to 13 years old. Unfortunately the cord for my camera that connects it to the computer (what is that thing called?) is broken, so no pictures.

Wow! Almost 13 yrs old for a big dog, that's great! I'm guessing it's because she lives with people who love her and take great care of her. :worship:

Hello Dexter and Milo.

Have you seen the Bald Eagles yet TS?

I went to see some Golden Eagles in Scotland once but I got covered in Ticks instead!
