Thom Hartmann on the story of the real tea party (spoiler: it was really about protesting a corporate tax cut).

That's really interesting. I read an article about 'The Boston Tea Party' recently but I don't think it made reference to a first hand account. The British East India Company was immensely powerful and also governed India up until The Indian Mutiny in 1858.

I found the article about the 'Boston Tea Party'. It portrays the 'Boston tea Party' as an event which had global origins and a global legacy. In the article it says: "no one knows for sure who they were, or exactly how many of them were there'. The book mentioned by Thom Hartman clearly mentioned George Robert Twelvetree Hughes as having written a first hand account of the protest, a fact which obviously wasn't known to the author of 'Defiance of the Patriots: The Boston Tea Party and the making of America.'

I was watching the TV programme 'Coast' yesterday evening and it featured this amazing photograph:

Last week, the episode of 'Coast' that aired here had us all huddled up on the sofa wallowing in homesickness, as they toured the south coast of Ireland. (No, I didn't spot our house; it's half mile inland).

A young Barack Obama. Obviously, his birth certificate doesn't list his religion as Muslim, it says "Pastafarian"! :fsm_yarr:

I can't match that but I used to be able to knock the top off a bottle of Grolsch with one finger.

But you're wrong, .ru is the extension for russian domains. Romanian domains is at .ro. Your point still valid though.
