I just got back from an after school photo shoot for the yearbook of my friends and I in all our steampunk piratical glory. Not sure when I'll have access to any of the photos, might actually be quite a while.

But I will surely post them here, so you may bask. BASK, I SAY!

Question, where does ye draw the line between rightfully stolen royal navy finery and true pirate regalia? Is a sailor's life in even the smallest way a substitute for the pirate way? They're both on the high seas, at least.

Ah, the only photo I 'ave of me in any sort of pirate regalia be from a Halloween a few years back; I've outgrown most of the costume parts. I put it together from various thrift store outings; and got the props from Wal-Mart. Poor hat was made of foam, it's torn up by the feisty little kittens we have in the house. Cats. They can't stick to chasing their tails all day *sigh* But I had titled this costume 'character' as "Pirate Puppy".



Argggh. I still be needin' t find that box so I can wear me torn-up hat around all t' time... And I needa start collectin' more clothes, rebuild my regalia. I wonder if those boots still fit me... *mumble-ramble*

I look so weird in the first two photos. Mayhaps I ate a tad too much candy 'fore they were taken...

On another note, that cutlass actually be a confederate one, not a pirate one. But it looks pirate-y to me, so I just pretend the crossed guns engraved in it are leg bones.
