Proud to be Pastafarian

Postby Ham Nox on Tue Nov 17, 2009 8:43 pm

Sung to and parodies "Proud to be an American"
------------------------------
If tomorrow all the things were gone
I'd worked for in my life
And I had to start again
With just a rowboat and a knife

I would thank my lucky stars
To have been shown the pirate way
Cuz the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away

Oh I'm proud to be Pastafarian
For in heaven beer flows free
And I'm glad to say that no one died
To give that right to me

And I'll gladly stand up next to you
And we'll sing it loud and clear
For ain't no doubt I love the sound
Of RAmens on my ears

From Bobby H. to Kansas
From Venganza down to me
Across the interwebs I went
And I found my destiny

From the mountain in the letter
To the midgit by the tree
There is pride in every Pastafarian heart
And its time they all could see

That I'm proud to be Pastafarian
For in heaven beer flows free
And I'm glad to say that no one died
To give that right to me

And I'll gladly stand up next to you
And we'll sing it loud and clear
For there ain't no doubt I love the sound
Of RAmens on my ears

~~~
I'd like to issue y'all a challenge: I want to see this being sung on youtube. I'm attempting to gather all my Pastafarian friends and family to do it as a group, but I'd like to see other people getting into the spirit as well. Come on, let's all spread the word! Feel free to edit this as you see fit, make your own verses, do a different song, or go wild and do a full-on choreographed sword-fight if you will! Then go ahead and post or pm the link, cuz I wanna see it :D
Great words, quite possibly singable, but…
How about a tune for those of us who have no idea about the song that it is based on? :confused:
Yes, I'd imagine "Proud to be an American" didn't have really strong foreign sales.
I hate that song. Talk about drinking the kool-aid....
English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."
I know, seriously. XD
I'm not trying to make any associations, it just sort of happened. And it happened to the tune of Proud to be an American.
I am very proud to be Pastafarian ^_^
Meh. I don't like some of me verses as much as I thought I did.. I shall change them.
I would thank my lucky coin
From the enlightened plains of Kansas
To the Deep and sparkling sea
From the one true open letter
To the midgit by the tree
From the wondrous beer volcano
To the stripper factory
There is pride in every pastafarian heart
And it's time that they all see
