How do I say 'Cheers' in Chinese?
Cheers=干杯.碰杯.
cheers is drink all of the cup or bumping the cup?
干杯is drink all of the cup
碰杯is bumping the cup
杯 is all kind of cup and glass.
干 means Finish all the liquid as wine,beer,
before drink ,people bumping the cup. I think it is one kind of Traditions and customs from ENGLISH.
at Ancient, chinese people not bumping the cup and only Raised the cup.
Like ,at Ancient, chinese people not shake hands and only wave(wag or Swing) the hand.
================
so, 干杯,As the saying , can say:
干,
碰杯,As the saying , can say:
碰一个.
一个means once.
Why, thank you!daftbeaker wrote::love: An excellent rendition of the Dead Parrot sketch my dear.

Now I am tempted by that idea...I know a man who prints T Shirts as well. I'll sort out a nice 干杯 design for it. I hope the guy's not having a joke and 干杯 actually means '**** orf !
