Help from the Church regarding passport picture

Postby melquiades » Wed Jul 15, 2009 6:51 am

Hi Guys,

I'm new on this forum - I heard about The Noble Church during a philosophy class some months ago and I was immediately awed by the possibilities in this project. You guys rock! :lurk:

The reason for my joining now is that I recently found out that I will have to renew my passport before too long, and upon studying the official papers regarding the renewal , I found out that I'm actually allowed to wear headwear if I can prove to the police that I'm doing it for religious reason. (I'm a Danish citizen)

So my question is this :
Is there any painstaking dogma supported by the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster that I can refer to, in order to get away with getting my photo taken wearing a hat?

In the name of common sense and heartfelt devotion,

Melquiades

Followers of the FSM are encouraged to wear pirate regalia (although there aren't any hard-and-fast rules). I suggest procuring a tricorn hat and getting the picture taken on a friday (the FSM's holier day).

Good luck with it.
That seems to point up a significant difference between Europeans and Americans. A European says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with me?" An American says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with him? - Sir Terry Pratchett

The great thing about Beaker is his ability to provoke while still being decorous, or at least within acceptable rules of conduct - Qwertyuiopasd

Get a copy of the Gospel too, and quote from it about pirates, global warming etc. It adds credibility to your argument.
"I don't mean to sound bitter, cynical or cruel; but I am, so that's how it comes out." ~ Bill Hicks.
"To argue with a person who has renounced reason is like administering medicine to the dead." ~ Thomas Paine.
"One should not believe everything one reads on the internet." ~ Abraham Lincoln.
"If you're making a political point wearing a balaclava, you're a c***. It was true for the IRA and it's true now." ~ daftbeaker.

Don't forget to put a parrot on your shoulder. That just shows how serious you are.

And it wouldn't hurt to discuss this with the police over a nice meal of spaghetti and beer!
