Well, it would give them a much greater angle and range of fire. You could probably take out the American tourists walking up the hill :evilgrin:

12:30pm, 22C, sunny, but windy enough for it to be not too too hot. It's lovely.

13:05 on Wednesday afternoon. Cool, more blue sky and sunshine than the last couple of days; small fluffy white clouds.

12:30am. Thermometer's downstairs, but I'm guessing it can't be below 15. Must be fairly overcast, for my hair is really curly and I can't see any stars. Over all, it's a nice night, no rain, no wind, a good night to leave the window open.

Guesstimating the weather at night is more fun than reporting it in the day. :smile:

3:44 PM. It's sunny. Winter in Australia is a lot like that. Kind of cool in the mornings and at night, but during the day it's easy to sweat.

Like Africa.

If you want to know what season it is in Australia, it's easy enough.
Windy = Autumn.
Stormy + Hot = Summer.
Winter = Cool nights.
Spring = People having sex in the park.

How do you tell in Ye Olde England Towne?

Actually, I have been impressed since coming to Canberra - it actually has real seasons and proper weather rather than just a climate.

I suppose that it is because it is in a valley high up in, and surrounded by, mountains.

In the winter the night-time temperatures can drop well below zero (-6C the other night) although the amount of sun we get means it warms up rapidly during the day!

:haha:

Manchester for example:

Windy and Rainy = Autumn.
Windy and Rainy = Summer.
Winter = Very Windy and Rainy with light Muggings in the Park
Spring = Windy and Rainy moderate to good Muggings becoming Chavvy

Autumn = Leaves everywhere, raining.
Winter = Freezing, raining/sleeting/hailing/snowing(occasionally)
Spring = Sneezing, green stuff everywhere, raining.
Summer = Sunburn, semi-naked people during the day, sunny/raining (It will alternate between the two with monotonous regularity).

I'm beginning to see a pattern here :annoyed: Also, semi-naked people appear throughout the year at night in town centres, it only counts as summer if they're seen between 10am-5pm.
