I have a friend who lives nearby whose family is from Alabama. They call him "that Yankee boy."

Yeah, I live basically between the general Chantilly area and Fairfax city. google maps sez about 13 minutes. XD

Perhaps we should plan a NoVa get together again? there was one way back in '05, but most of those people disappeared from Venganza.

Sure, we are considering some sort of Talk Like a Pirate Day party, but we hadn't worked on any details.

to get Halfway to where you live is 10 hours. Not very condusive for a day trip. Better for some of us to travel very little, and others to either stay overnight (I know we've got a guest bed), or fly.

I still like the idea of doing a March on the Mall in D.C. on the 19th.

It's a cherry flavored soda popular in parts of the south.

There is a diet version of Cheerwine. I've tried it, and it's OK, I guess. But it kind of defeats the point, which is an over-sweetened cherry soda to complete the sugar rush of your Moon Pie.

Cheerwine? that sounds as mad as 'Dandelion and Burdock'.
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.
