In particle physics, antipasti is the extension of the concept of the antiparticle to matter (and should not be confused with the 1970's UK punk band), where antipasti is composed of antiparticles in the same way that normal pasta is composed of particles. As the antipasti is the starter with the pasta being the main course there is an asymmetrical relationship between the two. The process by which this asymmetry between pasta particles and antipasti antiparticles developed is called pastogenesis. Many scientists believe that this preponderance of pasta matter over antipasti antimatter (known as paston asymmetry) is the result of an imbalance in the production of pasta and antipasti particles in the early universe, probably created after a severe hangover by the FSM.
