I just came from the last movie you saw thread, and now I have Barrett's Privateers stuck in my head.

Oh the year was 1778
How I wish I was in Sherbrooke now!
A letter of marque came from the king
To the scummiest vessel I'd ever seen.
God damn them all!
I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns, shed no tears!
I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

I go through the whole damn thing. Barrett's Privateers performed by The Irish Descendants and The Night That Patty Murphy Died by Great Big Sea are the best drinking songs ever, IMO.

Oh, dang! And Whiskey in the Jar! I love living in the Maritimes.

When I was a kid I was severely traumatized by the notion that they "took the *eyes* right off the corpse and put 'em on the beer".

"Ice" was such an anti-climax...
Empusa's crew, so naked-new they may not face the fire,
But weep that they bin too small to sin to the height of their desire,

OK, UbiDubiKid#1, "Ubi Dubi Yum Yum?"

Be aware. I'll be ready to record you singing the Gummi Bear song on my MP3 the next time I hear you singing it. Like when you're focused on the computer, ignoring the man sitting in front of the computer next to you. Then I will post the MP3 on this thread. HaHaHa!

Of course, I'll have to ask you to show me how to post MP3 files on threads.

All you've got to do is find a file hosting website, host it with them and post the link here!
Of course, you could also get a video of it and put it on YouTube for all the world to see.

But this one has been stuck in my head for many months. Beat that! But it's a fun tune, so I like it.

I doubt he could get a video. our video camera has been broken for years, wasn't digital anyway, and it's not like anyone in my family has a cell phone with those capabilitys.

"Lonely Boy" by Andrew Gold. I 'borrowed' a bit of the bassline for one of my own songs, and now the damn thing's stuck in my head.

Have you seen the Scrubs episode where two of the characters do a duet of that song? It's hilarious.
