That must just be you, because fish, chips, and some good English beer is a match made in heaven. So sad, there used to be a fish and chips place right up the block from me, but they went out of business (stupid recession. that and it took them forever to get a liquor license, even though every mediocre Italian joint around here gets one with no problems

Speaking of Italian cooking, one of the commandments of Italian cooking is that there is seafood, and there is cheese, and the two shall not meet.
Also, eating popcorn and drinking alcohol on an empty stomach is a recipe for painful disaster.
