^^ Old video games ftw. Recently I've been playing:

Neverwinter Nights (GO ELVALIA! *highfives*)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Half-Life
The Sims
Empire Earth II
Dungeon Siege (The video game that sucked me into RPG's for life.)
Diablo II
Kaylee: Wash, tell me I'm pretty.
Wash: If I were unwed, I would take you up in a manly fashion.
Kaylee: 'Cause I'm pretty?
Wash: 'Cause your pretty.
(Wash and Kaylee, Firefly, Heart of Gold)

It's a broken hearts parade
And I'm putting my heart out on display
There's no masquerade
Just a funeral march for love today
The band strikes up and they're playing a song
Dressed in black, and we're singing along to the
Broken hearts parade
I've never been better then I am today

Agh, you know what I did? I accidentally saved over my namesake, Elvalia Kimmoro. I had to start over. But I'm smart, and made myself a cheat module. Talk to two people, who are standing right next to eachother, and get 200 000 XP. In case you were wondering, that's enough to pop you right up to level twenty.

Yes, but I've tried playing the original Neverwinter Nights at a high level and it glitches and gets really boring. Raven Badaxe, at level 31, was getting several hundred experience for killing a weak goblin with her Flaming +7 Axe O' Doom. Pretty dull after the first few. Oh, well. I have the next adventure, and when I get a computer that can play it, I'll send her back in.

Several hundred experience for a goblin? How's that now? My cleric's only getting 6 XP for most of her kills these days.

Axe O' Doom? I made a bastard sword for my cleric. It's called The Slayer. Fortitude save or die. I don't know why I don't get bored. I just keep coming up with new and fabulous things to try, I guess. Maybe I'll go through the original campaign unarmed next?
I really ought to just bite the 40 or 50 dollar bullet and get NWN2.

Neverwinter Nights isn't old... Neverwinter Nights isn't old... I'm not that old... I'm not that old...

Seriously, is it bad that I remember the original Baldur's Gate release day?

But if we're calling a couple years ago old, check out Gothic and Gothic 2. Seriously. Older than that? You must play M.U.L.E.

Strangely enough, I was playing through Half-Life myself, recently. Until I got to Xen and my save corrupted. There was, as a result, much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Fuckin' Vista.

NWN isn't really that old... but, look at it from my point of view. I started playing that when I was maybe twelve years old? That seems like an awfully long time ago to me.

Woah, this is weird. I was playing Half Life the other day as well!

I'm thinking of 'obtaining' Half Life 2, or Portal.

I prefer Half-life 1 to 2, which puts me in a minority, but I still say you must get Half-Life 2, and you absolutely must buy Portal. Portal is a perfect game if I've ever played one.

We'll get Portal when we get a computer that's up to playing it. My kids have been playing the walk-throughs on YouTube, and playing that dratted song over and over again.

Jonathan Coulton for the win!

To be perfectly honest, I want to play Portal for Still Alive at the end, even more so than the gameplay.

Doing half Lives 1 and 2 on my PS3 at the moment. Some time ago I had a stupid argument with the long ago banninated Tadje Kahn (remember him) about High definition TV...I think I lost the argument and no wonder TK was right. I still love the old games though.
