I watched Inuyasha until they stopped making it. I loved it, but now that I've watched more anime (that was my first), I realise that it had an awful lot of filler episodes. :? It got really repetitive, too, I thought. Although maybe if I tried the manga, I'd still love it.

NANA - One of the most popular Shojo's known to otaku kind. Sex, drugs, punk, and rock all combined. Awesomeness. There's also a manga, and I recommend reading that too.

Interesting. Sounds right up my alley. I'm going to search the vasty expanses of tharr intarwubz now, will be back when I find me a scan.

Ok, I'm loving Nana, but I would definitely argue that the music in it is not punk. Other than that, it's great.

Kaylee: Wash, tell me I'm pretty.
Wash: If I were unwed, I would take you up in a manly fashion.
Kaylee: 'Cause I'm pretty?
Wash: 'Cause your pretty.

It's a broken hearts parade
And I'm putting my heart out on display
There's no masquerade
Just a funeral march for love today
The band strikes up and they're playing a song
Dressed in black, and we're singing along to the
Broken hearts parade
I've never been better then I am today

My biggest issues with it are music related. That's not punk, it's Alternative Pop-Rock. Their idea of their Sid Vicious/Nancy Spungen relationship is very skewed and idyllic. On top of that, Nana's voice when singing on the table is questionable at best. This would not be a problem, were she really a punk singer, but for that style of music, damn.

Other than that, the only complaints are my typical whinging about "Can't you see Shouji's a jerk!" and shit like that. It's a good show. I'm only on Episode 20, and have made even less progress on the manga.

I think she was literally squealing with glee that I enjoy Nana. It had nothing to do with Mr. Vasquez.

It is a bit hard to tell, especially when you're new and you can't see the person you're talking to.

I still wonder about Zank's gender. :D

I will say, one thing I've just noticed about Nana, but have no way of confirming, is that it seems as though the author was quite heavily influence by one of my favorite comic books, Strangers In Paradise, by Terry Moore. I need to find out if that's the case.

Repetitive! they were after the same bad guy throughout the animes entire lifespan, that's not repetitive that's stupidity.
