I think the brown orbs are different things to different people, the Great One is not bound by a single physical form, but can take many flavours to best reward (or punish, maybe they can be coconuts, more people are killed by falling coconuts than are killed by sharks, so coconuts are pretty dangerous) his followers.

Actually, it is highly likely that the Holy FSM has no problem with these processed foods. Most meatballs would undoubtably contain HVP and other additives, therefore he's voting that they're okay.
