Ugh, I don't understand this female obsession with the Twilight series. Just about every female I know is reading it.

I tried reading the first book, but it failed to entertain. Maybe it's because I'm male.

1. Incredibly perfect and sparkly vampire
2. Normal, average teenage girl
3. Romance
4. Action
5. Complex plot
6. Gorgeous wording

>> It's sorta like the absolute perfect book for the vampire fanatic. Normally I never get into romance books, but Twilight really got me. I've inflicted about all my friends with it too and now we're all plotting how to steal Edward from Bella and what not (I personally like Jasper the best, since he's from the south too ^-^)

...

I'm also a girl, too... xDDD

DTH,

I've never heard of the books before, and the movie has barely crossed my radar. I think maybe I saw an ad for it somewhere, maybe once.
True terror lies in the futility of human existence.

Malcolm Reynolds is my co-pilot.

"The only freedom deserving the name, is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental and spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest." - John Stuart Mill

The only thing I really enjoyed about it was watching the young jock/thug crownd get into something that was so overtly homoerotic. I got lots o laughs from that. The thing about the Watchmen is, there is so much incredible content in that novel... I fear a movie will merely concentrate on style, losing what makes that book so damn good in the first place.

No, Fox, who owned the rights in the Eighties or some shit, is suing to keep it from being released. It's funny. They've canceled all of their own good shit, and know they're trying to cancel Warner's. As far as I know, Moore hasn't said anything about it.

See, that's what I think. Oh, look, I remember that scene! And that! Pretty graphics... but... where's my plot? I also hope that the characters don't play nice to appeal to laymen's idea of superheroes.

I'm a heterosexual male, and I enjoyed Twilight.

A friend of mine told me that I was remarkably similar to Edward, and that I had to read them. So I did. And I was. Eerily.

The books were great.

Oh dear FSM.

Inflate his ego, why don't you? You're also female, which makes it a helluva lot worse.

Hmm. Something to ponder, surely. Maybe it's because you're out of school? It seems much like a teen 'growing up' sort of series. With vampires.

Righteous Kill looks promising... last time DeNiro and Pacino were in a movie together (Heat), it was quite good. Not a huge fan of serial killer films, but if anybody can pull it off and make it interesting this crew should be able to. Director and producer also did Land of the Blind, so this looks interesting to me.

Which is why I have given them up and now only consort with call girls.

I am on the honour roll a well, MM, and I've written some fairly good poetry.

As for "never having tasted a woman", no, I don't happen to go around licking people.
