Yeah, which is why it took until the very end to defeat Yami Bakura, whereas Marik was defeated and turned back to good about four seasons into the show.
Clearly Yami Bakura was the more evil villian. Marik was good, he just lost his mind temporarily. Yami Bakura was a spirit of pure malice.
