One of my favorite phoenix parking-lot pastimes.
I go up to bored, antsy, hot-and-miserable young children, trapped-in-waiting by their gossiping parents.
I point to distant pine trees, and say,
"Do you know what kind of trees those are?"
...and they say, "YEAH!!
PINE trees!!",
and I say,
"shhhhhhhhh....." (cause we don't want mommy to hear us.)
And then I say,
"Well you should sneak over there and pick yourself a nice, juicy, cool, refreshing PINEAPPLE!"
It teaches kids two very valuable lessons.
1. The curious way that the clear desert air makes
very distant objects appear close-by.
2.Not to trust strange people in carparks.
Then I like to go over to rainswept's apt., and poke blind people in the eyes with pointy sticks.
As he says,
"Let them perform a useful function in society, as entertainment, if nothing else....And besides, they're already blind....It's not like their eyes can get any more damaged."
