Unlax, Trooper. They knew I was far from orthodox when they asked me, and I was sincere about promising to raise her in their chosen faith when I accepted. I have no intention of destroying her faith.
She has a long life ahead of her (I hope!) and a lot of time to discover that there is more to life, Virginia, than the Baltimore Catechism. When she has questions, I will be a good resource for her: someone who truly understands and respects the good parts of her birth religion, yet who can respond without anxiety to curiosity about other paths.
If she rejects my beliefs, I won't be offended. That's a personal matter and the goal is for her to be her own person. If the end result is a renewed commitment on her part to RCism, well, that will be fine with me, too.

I've read the first two, and have the Amber Spyglass to go. They are fantastic and I'd recommend them to all.

That's a crying shame.
At least its more than my brother, he hates books. Yet he wont give me his unused bookshelves, even though my books are now beginning to pile up on the floor.
I'm going to start the HDM series as soon as someone returns the first book to my school library.

I would have read them quicker, but I needed sleep/nourishment, and I had Christmas stuff to attend to.

I'm finding the third book to be hella tedious. Could anything less interesting than those goddamn mulefas and that pain in the ass doctor be contrived? I don't think so.
I think the whole trilogy peaked in the first book and has been sliding down hill since then.
