The original UK Office had the look and feel of a real work place the US version has the look and feel of a TV show, missing the whole point of the original idea.

Well, considering that its 10 times funnier, perhaps the original idea was flawed.

The original fills me with a whole gambit of emotions from cringing to full on hysterics, the pale copy only gives me the urge to change channel.
The original so wonderfully raw, the copy just saccharin.

Now at least with "Little Britain USA" that is still going to be made by Matt Lucas and David Walliams so while I understand it will be tailored for those across the pond it should keep its integrity, unlike the Office re-hash

I agree. The UK version is funny, but I didn't laugh out loud much. I kind of giggled on the inside at a few things.

Favorite thing though: Priest and the altar boy jokes :D
May the glorious Flying Spaghetti Monster bathe you in his wondrous Mercy, Love, and Garlic Sauce!
May He bless MP3 Fiesta and their noodlicious music bargains!
May He also watch over Roffleopolis and touch it with his marvelous Noodly Appendages.

I note they are looking for an American movie star to play the role of US President. George Clooney was mentioned as one of the actors suitable for the job.

In the original the British Prime Minister was played by Anthony Head (from Buffy)

The original was more cerebral, not meant to make you laugh out loud, but meant to give your brain something to work on. The US copy in contrast is just like sugar candy, instant gratification with little intellectual content to make you think.

I have. I remember nursing a pre-pubescent crush on Gruber.

I hope you're on the recieving end of an improbability equation wherein something happens to you that's as unlikely as Rob Schneider winning a best actor Oscar on the same day Michael Jackson single handedly captures Osama Bin Laden. ~ Rainswept

I wonder what the folks at Takeshi's Castle think of it...

Or even regular Japanese...
