I voted for Cap'n Morgan (Sir Henry Morgan). He was really a "privateer" who operated under letters of marque from the British. So, he was not really considered to be a right pirate except to his victims. He was, however a heavy drinker and, as pointed out earlier, how appropriate to have a brand of spirit named after you! Too bad his decendants don't get royalties!

Arrr... the coolest pirate were Cap'n Isiah Shackleton. Got pretty bluddy cool after 'is ship got locked in the polar ice.
'Ee were goin' to walk 700 miles across the frozen wastes to get help fer 'is men. Would've made it too, if 'is crew hadn't lynched 'im fer gettin' 'em in that mess to start with.

The rest of the crew survived for months by gnawing on a huge sausage from Big Ron's Butchers...in the picture they think they're about to be recued but it turned out to be The Black Spot cast adrift in an open boat!

I remembers the death o' Captain Cook; if ye look at this picture ye'll see Cook wavin' frantically at me to let 'im aboard me boat. Well, me an' me loyal officers didn't want another mouth to feed on board.

Arrrrrrr....poor old James Cook. Walktheplank very nearly met the same fate...fortunately he managed to escape by throwing a wild boar and one of his best wigs at the natives to distract em whilst he made his escape:
