Actually, Zankou, if the MSG is in there while dry, won't it stick around when cooked? So you get the cancers anyway. Whether it is stomach or lung cancer is a different matter :)

yes, the MSG is still there, but the thought of eating iit in a powder form is disgusting(they don't actually inhale it'ts just the expression I used.

And all you Christians, don't forget: extra-marital sex gives you cancer!

Ramen is the Japanese way to say the Chinese word "la m

Postby Ruthea on Wed May 02, 2007 6:07 am

which means "stretched noodle"
the way of making is simply keep stretching...make the noodle "skinny" , boil the noodle in water.
serve in a bowl with beef soup.
then you can say, "this is my dinner Ramen, shi is number four food in Asia, NICE~~~~"

Clinically proven: the main cause of cancer is listening to R&B music.

Ramen noodles are extremely long so it's fun to swallow one end and then pull from the other to gross out people at the dinner table, or to amuse children with a dramatic "magic trick".

Great fun.

ramen is so tasty, I could live on it. Actually, I tend to live on ramen, frozen pizza, and soda for weeks on end. It's great.

Ramen can actually be a greater dinner by the things you add to it. I grew up on it so when it came time to be thrifty for college, I was only too glad.

My favorite additions to ramen:

-cubed tofu
-sliced green onions
-raw egg added 1 minute before done
-soy sauce
-ginger powder/garlic powder

Mmmmmmmmm! RAmen!

I was playing around with Ramen the other day, when my pantry was almost bare.

I broke it into smaller chunks (so as not to have 2-foot noodles), put it in an eggpan along with enough water to cook it, added half the seasoning packet, a few other seasonings, cooked it, added a sizable amount of yeast (not the baking kind), and some shredded cheese, kepft cooking until it was all melted and mixed in...yummy.

I like to add lots of cinnamon to the cold water, then heat it and when it's almost boiling I add a fistful of chocolate chips. Then once it boils I add the noodles as usual, and then when it's done I add the contents of the packet as usual. It's important to stir constantly once the chocolate chips are added, though, or else they'll burn on the sides and bottom of the pot. I've only done this with Maruchan brand chicken ramen. I don't know how it would be with other types.

Is this the same as Super Noodles in the UK?
