I'm not a technical vegetarian but most of my meals/snacks involve mostly non-meat things, which by working at an organic/natural grocer helps me out a lot in that department. Additionally, I don't eat any red meats/pork, etc... all my proteins come from either poultry/fish/soy/etc.

If you aren't a full plant grazer, do not boast about not eating certain types of meat.

Gassho.
Indeed. I am working on becoming vegan. It is harder than becoming vegetarian (for me, at least).

I don't think you have to, but whatever, mate. Vegetarianism is good, veganism is better.

I want to move to veganism. It's not something I feel I have to do, but for my health and my overall well being, as well as for animal rights reasons, I want to move to veganism.

I don't think I would ever be able to give up cheese, though. After all, cheese, art and love is what I live my life for.

Strangely enough, that is exactly my problem. I love the cheese! I can give up eggs (which would cut into my pasta, sadly) and milk, etc, but cheese---how do I love thee? Let me count the ways!

You can become lactovegetarian. Just eat plants and dairy.

I am planning on becoming one some years from now.

Actually, that's what I am right now. I am a lacto(non-ovo)vegetarian.
Well, I do eat one kind of meat, but that's pretty crude, so I'll not bring it up.
Vegetarian power!!!

Carrots. I absolutely love their orange goodiness, and how well they go with mayonnaise.

Cucumbers are also good.

Mushrooms aren't vegetables... right? They are fungae.

Well, that's kind of splitting hairs, IMHO.
Like the mushroom said to the tree, "don't worry baby, I'm a fun guy!"
I forgot about carrots. I love carrots. And peas. And lima beans. And green beans. Actually, I just love vegetables.
