Cutlasses vs Pistols

Tis me style to be usin' a pistol, for the pistol be a mighty piece of engineerin'
first ye have yer shot, the first line o' defense, as it were.......
second, ye flip it o'er, and ye can use the buttstock as a club, Savvy?
third, ye can throw it
and if ye have a bayonet, it can be used as a knife!, it be the perfect weapon, in capable hands.......
me personal method be to carry a long knife, or hatchet as well........so that I've got options......
tho, me cutlass be never far from me good hand as well........

We already denouncedd the RPG as unpiratey (and there is usually not much left to plunder afterwards).

I can sell ye a nice 'Insultomatic'...tis deadly at close quarters. It works by broadcastin all the insults from the 'Pirate Insult Challenge' in rapid succession. Almost as successful as the Swatopluk Techno-Blaster...That works simply by blinding your opponents with scientic knowhow and while they remain confused ye makes yer escape!

I say rapier is the weapon of choice for the Gentleman Pirate. It has finer control than a cutlass and less chance of blowing up in your face when compared to a pistol.

Arrr. I may be proficient wit' me cutlass, but when it comes t' dual pistol wielding, I be deadly.
Tho, I always 'ave me cutlass wit' me, in the case I run out'a powder in battle.
