Here's how we can get the Gospel taught in schools

Postby Syarzhuk on Mon Apr 16, 2007 9:24 pm

Step 1: Publish Gospel in the state of Missoury under the title "Bible"
Step 2: Support HOUSE BILL NO. 213
http://www.house.mo.gov/bills071/biltxt ... B0213P.HTM
Once it becomes law,
<s>Step 3: PROFIT</s>
Step 3. Require Missoury colleges to teach the Gospel, since the newly enacted law says:
173.057 (e) "Include intellectual diversity concerns in the institution's guidelines on teaching and program development and such concerns shall include but not be limited to the protection of religious freedom including the viewpoint that the Bible is inerrant;"

HOUSE BILL NO. 213 wrote:As used in this section, "intellectual diversity" is defined as the foundation of a learning environment that exposes students to a variety of political, ideological, religious, and other perspectives, when such perspectives relate to the subject matter being taught or issues being discussed.

Gee, this bill doesn't seem to directly contradict itself now does it? I guess "intellectual diversity" is only valid if it comes with the preconceived notion that the bible is inerrant. Firicking gag me with a spoon!

I also liked this part!

HOUSE BILL NO. 213 wrote: (h) Establish clear campus policies to ensure freedom of the press for students and report any incidents of student newspaper thefts or destruction;

Are newspaper thefts in schools in Missouri a big enough problem that they need legislation over it? What if said newspapers state that the bible is not inerrant? Can we steal them and burn them then?[/quote]

Well, first of all, you spelled "Missoury" wrong. It`s "Misery." I know. I live there.

Second, if there are schools for Catholics and other religions, why aren`t there Pastafarian schools?

I propose special private religious schools for those of us touched by His Noodly Appendage.

Can I get a RAmen, ladies and gents?

Have you read the FAQ and the rules section? If not, i advise yuo to.

Also, if you would start posting in larger text, it would be much appreciated.

But the school i dea is good, we could teach how to protest properly and how religion isn't science

Of course I have. I`ve joined many internet forums in my time (more so than any fifteen-year-old should), so I know better than to avoid the FAQ.

Right. Larger font. Got it.

Proper protesting would be a good subject -- it seems as though many idiots (at least here in St. Louis) have no idea how to protest without it getting totally out of hand, with the SOLE exception of the National Day of Silence.

Protest is relative.

If you are protesting, say, ID in schools, the proper method is to walk around in an eyepatch.

Pro-Lifers, apparently, save frozen foeti from burning fertility clinics, yet let 6 year olds be incinerated.

Anti- war protesters, also, wear flowers and smoke mariijuana.

it's all got to be taught

But of course!
If the children don`t know how to protest, our world is royally screwed.

Excellent idea!
I, in fact, have no relation to Avatar of Reason. My name developed several years ago on its own.

FSB,

Can you please stop from posting multiple links to other sites. The mods and admins have tolerated your presence to date, presuming you are not a spammer. That consensus is starting to change. Spammers get mericlessly treated here, so look out - and yes I've just canned two of your threads.

So if you want to start contributing to the broader discussion here, get posting something constructive.

They could change it so it only applies to the "Bible" they were talking about... but, using this method, you could get anything taught in colledges... Just imagine the possibilites...

I think as Pastafarianism becomes a larger religion, and it will become quite large, it will earn a spot in schools.

Already at Missouri State University there is a FSM club, and the school hosts debates between Pastafarians and other people quite frequently. I try to attend as many of these debates as possible, they are quite hilarious and thought provoking.
